What are cookies?
A cookie is a small text file that is downloaded onto ‘terminal equipment’ (e.g. a computer or smartphone) when the user accesses a website. It allows the website to recognise that user’s device and store some information about the user’s preferences or past actions.

To protect your privacy, your web browser only returns a cookie to the website that sent you the cookie and does not send it to any other website. A website cannot access your cookie directory or information on your computer, instead relevant cookies are included by your web browser within each request you make to the website. A website can only obtain cookie data that your web browser sends to it.

A cookie in no way gives us access to your computer or any information about you, other than the data you choose to share with us.
